Great news and another big step for wine tourism in Bulgaria! After the Struma Valley, Plovdiv and the Thracian Valley, South Sakar and North-Eastern Bulgaria, we have another wine region/real travel destination with its own wine map – WESTERN AND CENTRAL DANUBE PLAIN! It is bilingual (Bulgarian & English) and includes 17 wineries and 20 landmarks. Beyond wines, the region is famous for some spectacular attractions and nature sights – the Belogradchik rocks, caves, fortresses, monasteries…
Yesterday the map was officially presented. The nice event, which took place in Sofia was accompanied by a tasting of the local terroir and extremely interesting wines and local cheese and meat appetizers. Most important, however, is the Henry Ford quote that the colleagues chose as their slogan: „Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress.
