We signed for an immersive The Thracian Wine Tour & Plovdiv – day trip which includes a tour of Plovdiv and the Old City before arrival in Sofia. The guide came to pick us up from the hotel at a preset time and we went to a wonderful day of visiting the Old City of Plovdiv and from there to the winery Villa Yustina located in the village half an hour away from Plovdiv. We had a guided tour of the areas of the vineyard, an explanation of the process of producing wine in the winery itself, visit the wine cellar and a summary at lunch that includes tasting of 3 wines. After completing the visit drive back to the hotel. In summary, highly recommend to those interested to go out on a day wine tour from Sofia with a dedicated guide and want to be impressed by the local wine production process and a local wine tasting experience.
